Introduction to Drawing (Intermediate)
August 3 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Monday, repeating until August 31, 2020
Intermediate drawing offers a continuing focus on visual training, planning and process. We will seek both naturalistic realism and an opportunity for creative expression. Class assignments will develop visual perception and drawing skills while exposing students to a wide variety of techniques and media. Subject matter may include: animals, landscape, as well as still life. Students will be encouraged to develop their own style and creative approach. Like Intro to Drawing (Fundamentals) classes, the Intermediate class will briefly cover; shading, perspective and color using graphite pencils, colored pencils, ink and charcoal. It isn’t necessary to have taken Dominique’s Introduction to Drawing class, but it is advised.
Zola Monroe Art Group, LLC, Dominique Hughes will be instructing this class. She is an artist and art teacher.
We suggest that you have the following supplies on hand: Strathmore® 400 Series Drawing Pad, 1 6B pencil, 1 8B pencil, 1 2H sketching pencil, 1 HB sketching pencil, 1 plastic sharpener, 1 kneaded eraser.
The class will be held using Zoom. If you are not familiar with this platform, please sign up for one of our workshops before the class begins.
