Are you feeling ill at ease lately?  Do you have stress, anxiety, health issues, the “blahs,” or unwelcome habits?  Do you wish you had greater equanimity and more ability to enjoy life?  In this hands-on 6-week workshop, you will be introduced to and practice with time-honored mindfulness and meditation techniques proven to increase happiness, help cope with chronic pain and ease depression and anxiety. (This 6-week workshop is held online, but class participation is expected, to the extent you are able. The course also includes short daily homework assignments.)

You will learn the foundational teachings, including the latest research, to start your own practice of mindfulness and meditation, one of the most powerful medicines for health and well-being in the world.  Being human is challenging – having better tools in your kit makes a difference.  Get started now and find out what people are talking about.

Kaili Mang Jeyarajah completed her certificate in Mindfulness & Meditation Teaching through the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California at Berkeley.  Her mindfulness training began and continues in the Plum Village tradition of Zen master Thich Naht Hanh.  A former interior designer and mother of two teen boys, Kaili is now a weekly M&M teacher at AroundTownDC, running intro classes and continuing practice opportunities.  She is also a member of Insight On the Inside, where she facilitates classes at a women’s reentry facility and is active on their Anti-Racism committee.
