Pastel with Old Masters taught by Zola Monroe Art Group
November 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until December 8, 2020
Take a dive into pastel art and analyze a few old master pastel paintings in the museum to find out how their techniques can help us in our own paintings. Practice applying old master tricks in your own art so you can develop your own portfolio. Each week there will be a different focus on techniques and execution of the pastel painting with demonstrations by the instructor. Starting from a simple still life to painting from an inspirational
landscape photo, students will gradually hone their skills to complete a finished painting.
Students should have some experience in drawing.
Zola Monroe Art Group, LLC, Dominique Hughes will be instructing this class. She is an artist and art teacher. It is terrific if you have taken Dominique’s previous pastel class, but if you have not, expect to work at your own pace.
