This workshop will be fun and explorative for those not yet aware of the acrylic medium’s power and potential due to its fast-drying properties. We will work from a variety of photo references including, landscape, still-life, and portrait. Weekly demonstrations with open Q&A. Homework encouraged and personal email critiques of student work provided. In this intermediate class you’ll learn about how to create convincing volumetric forms, how to use color effectively, and ways to create a believable sense of depth in your paintings. Instruction will center on the use of still life and interior spaces as subject matter and will cover design concepts as well as technique. This class is taught by Dominique Hughes of Zola Monroe Art Group, LLC.
