How do you meet people who are interested in friendship in the Washington DC area?  Learn some new strategies to strengthen your social network, improve your relationships, and make your life more fun.  As we leave the period of pandemic isolation, many of us feel awkward as we connect anew.  Learn strategies for:

*activities and volunteering.
*starting conversations.
*finding friends.
*being a good friend.
*exchanging favors and helping each other.
*specific issues that come up after retirement, childrearing, and changing your residence.

Dale Brown led a study group on social connection for Iona Senior Services and now teaches classes on how to make friends.  She is a former policy advisor for the federal government and is the author of five books.  She writes poetry and won the Day Eight Open Mic award twice for performing her poetry.
