Courtney Tolbert has agreed to host monthly discussions on how we can move forward at this time and improve our world. Each week will explore a different topic. We will be exploring these topics virtually, using Zoom.

Once you have signed up for one of these programs, you will receive invitations each month. Please bring an open mind!  The discussions will run from 2:00-3:00 pm. (Topics subject to change.)

Tuesday, June 30 —Race and Class: What are definitions of these terms and how are they related? Is race a social or a scientific construct or a scientific concept?

Tuesday, July 28 —Micro-aggressions: What does this term mean? How can we be aware of small behaviors we aren’t aware of that may be offensive? Recognition, cost and affect.

Tuesday, August 25— White Privilege: How is this important?

Tuesday, September 29 —Black Lives Matter—Blue Lives Matter, a conversation with Andy Solberg, former DC Police officer, and how Police and communities can work together.
