West End Neighborhood Library: Dance, Lunch, and Conversation

We will begin at noon with a dance performance, enjoy a free boxed lunch (courtesy of the DC Department of Aging and Community Living-DACL), and spend the next hour or so in a conversation facilitated by fellows from the Interactivity Foundation. This series is sponsored by the Interactivity Foundation, the DC Public Libraries, DACL, and Iona Senior Services.
Grounding in Tradition: Praneetha Akula
Praneetha Akula performs classical and contemporary Indian dance, specializing in Bharatanatyam dance. She will show us how this type of dance expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas. There will be an opportunity for you to dance with this wonderful performer if interested.
