Join us to see some of the great resources that the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) has to offer. We will visit the CAUSES program, the Jazz Archives, and the swimming pool.

The CAUSES Program

The College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability & Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) at the University of the District of Columbia hosts a number of programs at their Van Ness Campus, including a green roof, Aquaponics/hydroponics, beekeeping, master gardener program, cooking series, and other wonderful resources. They hold workshops and certificate courses for learners of all ages. Come learn about their program as we walk through their facilities and hear about the important work they are doing in the community.

The College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) of The University of the District Columbia offers research-based academic and community outreach programs that improve the quality of life and economic opportunity of people and communities in the District of Columbia.  CAUSES is in all eight (8) Wards offering a wide range of cutting-edge research programs through the Water Resources Institute, the Agricultural Experiment Station, the 143-acre Firebird Research Farm, and the Architecture Research Institute. Our community outreach programs are for all ages through 4-H and the Center for Youth Development, the Center for Nutrition, Diet and Health, and the Center for Sustainable Development and Resilience.

We will also visit the Felix E. Grant Jazz Archives and the UDC Swimming Pool.
