Piano accompaniment and lyrics to many familiar songs are provided\, and participants choose which songs to sing. This is music making for our own pleasure and nothing more. SUMMARY:Sing-Along at Iona Senior Services with Deborah
DESCRIPTION:Deborah Brouse loves nothing more than to encourage others to know the joy of singing\, regardless of their talent or musical experience. After directing the music in school musical theater productions for many years\, Deborah has enjoyed leading sing-alongs for seniors for the past several years. In 2020 she received a Community Cornerstone Award from DC Councilmember Anita Barnes for that service. \nFor the senior sing-along\, the only requirement is a desire to sing. Piano accompaniment and lyrics to many familiar songs are provided\, and participants choose which songs to sing. This is music making for our own pleasure and nothing more. The goal is for everyone to leave smiling and humming! \nTo participate in this class in-person\, simply create an account on this website. Once your account is set up\, you can attend the class by showing up and printing your first and last name on the sign-in sheet.
