Lindsay’s Bio:

Lindsay Mueller is an artist fascinated by the layered relationships humans have with outdoor spaces, especially those shaped by American tendencies to romanticize nature. She typically creates paintings inspired by local fragments of landscape, often incorporating sculptural elements in her process. Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she now lives and works in Arlington, Virginia. Mueller holds a BFA in Painting and a BA in Psychology from Boston University and an MFA in Visual Arts from American University. She has exhibited across the East Coast at venues including the University of Mary Washington, Adah Rose Gallery, the Peale Museum, and Chautauqua Institution. In 2023 she received the Bethesda Painting Young Artist Award, and she was a 2025 Sondheim Art Prize semifinalist. She is currently an artist-in-residence at MoCA Arlington.
