This presentation will cover what probate is, how the probate process works, and the challenges it can create for families. We will discuss tools to help avoid probate, such as beneficiary designations, payable-on-death accounts, transfer-on-death deeds, and other strategies that may simplify the transfer of assets to loved ones. We will also discuss documents that aid with end-of-life decision making, like wills and powers of attorney.
