
VIRTUAL Gentle Yoga with Bara via Zoom

Description: This gentle yoga class is designed for older adults who prefer a slower-paced practice. Students will use a chair and mat to experience a gradual progression of yoga poses to strengthen and stretch the body and breathing practices to calm the mind. The teacher will tailor the poses to accommodate the needs of different bodies, such as tight hips and hamstrings or cranky knees. All levels are welcome. You’ll want a yoga mat and a towel for class. You may also want to have a yoga block or pillow on hand, though not necessary for class.

Bio:
Bara Vaida is a RYT-500 certified yoga teacher. She found yoga 25 years ago as part of a fitness routine and fell in love with the way the practice heals the mind and body. Her mission is to empower students to find their own path to health and well-being. Outside of yoga, she is a DC resident and freelance journalist, focusing on health care policy, and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.
