Nordic Walking: 4-Week Workshop with Camille

September 2 @ 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

when & where

  • Iona Senior Services-Fitness Room
  • September 2 @ 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Discover a fresh way to move outdoors! Nordic walking is a dynamic, full-body activity that uses specially designed poles to engage your arms, shoulders, core, and back—turning a simple walk into an energizing and efficient workout.

With each stride, you’ll build strength, improve balance and mobility, and gently elevate your heart rate. Compared with regular walking, Nordic walking can help improve endurance and overall fitness while remaining accessible and low-impact.

Each session will begin indoors at Iona with instruction and gentle stretching before heading outside for a mindful, rhythmic walk through the neighborhood. We’ll then return to the Iona space to unwind with gentle stretching and relaxation.

Join Camille for this uplifting combination of movement, fresh air, and mindful exercise. Poles will be provided, or you’re welcome to bring your own. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

Participants should be able to walk approximately two miles.

This 4-week workshop will meet from 1:30–3:30pm on the following Wednesdays:

  • September 2
  • September 9
  • September 16
  • September 30

Please note: There will be no class on Wednesday, September 23.

Space is limited, and registration is required.
