The Alchemizing Grief Workshop Series: Collage
September 21 @ 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
when & where
Join us for an afternoon of creative expression where we explore grief, memory, and loss through the imaginative and nostalgic art of collage.
This unique event blends the creative process of collaging with an open and welcoming conversation about grief, the impact it can have on our lives, and the loved ones we remember and honor. Whether you are personally experiencing grief or simply want to learn, listen, create, and connect with others, you are welcome.
Grief is something many of us experience throughout our lives – we don’t have to go through it alone.
Participants are invited to create a collage inspired by:
- A person you’re grieving or remembering
- Emotions or memories associated with grief
- Ways your sense of self has changed through experiences of loss
- Whatever feels meaningful to you
What to Expect:
💌 Collage workshop and creative exploration
🤲🏼 A welcoming, nonjudgmental space for reflection and conversation
💭 A facilitated conversation about grief, loss, memory, and our experiences
🫂 An opportunity to connect and share with others in our community
🎨 Time for creative expression, reflection, and making
Event Flow:
4:30pm: Arrivals, Mingling, & Introductions
4:35–5:25pm: Grief Discussion
We’ll have an opportunity to share our experiences with grief and loss, reflect on how they have impacted our lives, and remember the people we love. For those who are not directly experiencing grief, this can be a time to listen, learn, and connect with others in the community. Sharing is always optional.
5:25–6:00pm: Collage Workshop & Creativity Time!
Create a collage inspired by your own experiences, memories, emotions, or whatever feels right to you. You’ll have the opportunity to share your work and reflect on how the conversation may have influenced your creative process.
Floral arrangements and other artistic outlets have been integral to my healing journey, teaching me how to alchemize my pain into beauty through creativity. It is my hope to share that creative experience with all of you and invite you to explore your own relationship with grief through art and self-expression.
Join me in creating space for honest conversations about grief, finding connection, and honoring the people and memories that matter to us.
