This 1-hour virtual movement class combines dance and yoga.
This gentle yoga class is designed for older adults who prefer a slower-paced practice. Students will use a chair and mat to experience a gradual progression of yoga poses to strengthen and stretch the body and breathing practices to calm the mind. The teacher will tailor the poses to accommodate the needs of different bodies, such as tight hips and hamstrings or cranky knees. All levels are welcome.
Monday's virtual presentations swing with a focus on local, little-known aspects in Washington, DC’s history. We unearth the stories that connect us to the present, bringing appreciation to lives and stories that helped to shape the city and impacted the country as a whole.
