Please join Iona Senior Services at a Fall Prevention Awareness Day for Ward 3 residents on Thursday, September 21. Around Town DC will volunteer as a group from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and you are welcome to participate in all of the activities following this shift.

Iona staff will be with you onsite at the University of the District of Columbia Ballroom, 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW. No health training is needed, and volunteers will serve as greeters and exit coordinators. This is a well-attended, exciting event, and will give everyone an opportunity to provide a critical benefit to the community!

Limited parking is available on neighboring streets, but UDC is on the Van Ness stop on the Red Line, and Metro buses also run up and down Connecticut Avenue.

Finally, participants may wish to go out to lunch together afterward, as there are a number of restaurants in the immediate neighborhood.
