How To Use2020-01-24T11:33:04-05:00

There are many different and convenient ways for you to find what you are looking for on the Around Town DC website! From searching your location to searching for specific events, these tips can help you find what you need.

  1. See if any of the special events listed on the home page are of interest to you.
  2. Search by event location–which can be found in the blue bar on the home page.
  3. Search by Location type — The Department of Parks and Recreation offers many activities for older adults, as does many other public and private facilities in Northwest DC.
  4. Search by Program type — are you interested in fitness classes, art, continuing education, games?
  5. Search by Activity — see all the search tags in the middle left hand part of the page that might prompt your imagination.
  6. Search by looking at the calendar–see all the upcoming events. Many you can join at any time. Double click to read the description.
  7. Email Community@iona.org for further questions or suggestions.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We apologize for the inconvenience, but the courtesy reminder emails for some classes are currently down. The Around Town DC team will keep you updated about any schedule changes.
