In this course, participants will learn the ins and outs of still life, applying techniques such as perspective, shading, and color theory using drawing and painting materials. Still life has been a long practiced art form, exploring domestic life and bounty. Together, we will discuss what qualifies as a still life, how one creates a successful composition, and how to introduce conceptual components. Students will have the opportunity to work from reference images as well as from life objects. Participants of all skill levels are invited to join this course. Supplies are limited, we encourage participants to bring their own materials.

Materials will include the gouache materials, the graphite materials, and this time subbing in colored pencils for pastels.

Supplies are limitied and we encourage Participants to purchase their own.
